President Message

A School is a special environment, a mini society, where the qualities of life and certain types of activities are instilled in children with the object of a child’s total development. Students of today are the citizens of tomorrow, emphasizing the importance of a school in a democratic social set up in moulding the citizens of our country. The challenge is to look at it from a wider perspective as stated “ Being Educated today in terms of the larger needs, means preparation for world citizenship”. Similarly, the vision of our Sri Guruji His Holiness Jagadguru Bhairavaikya Padmabhushan Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji, was to provide opportunities to create “ Global Citizens and Leaders of Tomorrow” upholding our traditional and social values and so BGS Central School, Mirjan, Kumta provides such an ideal environment for the children to explore and discover, encouraging their curiosity and creativity to find and manifest their hidden talent. The school is blessed with dedicated teachers, sound pedagogical practices and equipped with high quality instructional materials including integration of technology throughout the curriculum, so that the children can have variety of rich learning experiences.

It is also a proud moment to remember that we have successfully completed ten years of our mission of providing quality education to the children of Uttara Kannada. Again we congratulate and wish the school team all the best for the coming year 2015. We bless the teachers, supporting staff, active parents and the vibrant students on their mission of achieving the highest of perfection. May the Almighty bestow his blessings upon all of us.
